When you walk into the eatery, you’re handed a ticket and wait until you’re called so you can give your order. Make sure you don’t lose the ticket! Once you receive the order, you eat (obviously) and on your way out, you hand the ticket over and pay for your food. It’s quick, simple, and pretty effective.
Katz’s Delicatessen NYC is slammed with tourists that’s for sure, so it’s not a real insider tip from our side, but it is worth going. Katz Delicatessen NYC is part of the city and you shouldn’t miss the experience while visiting New York.

So a fun fact about Katz’s Deli, is that the owner’s three sons went off to fight for their country during World War II. During that time, they were sent food from the restaurant during their tour in Europe.
This is the origin of the slogan “Send a Salami to your Boy in the Army.” Also, there were theaters scattered everywhere in the area and actors and celebrities would frequently visit the deli.
How to get to Katz’s Delicatessen
Katz’s Delicatessen is located not far from Chinatown in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. The best way to get there is to take the subway line to the 2 Av station. From there, it’s only a 5-minute walk!
