Looking for an honest review of Greensprings Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia?
This is one of our favorite Hilton Vacation Club resorts we’ve ever stayed in!
The rooms are recently renovated in a very modern style and they are so spacious.
Really the only downside is that internet can be kind of spotty, even with your own hot spot depending on where your room is located.
Greensprings Resort Review
Greensprings Resort is about a 15-20 minute drive from most of the attractions in the Williamsburg area including Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, Yorktown, and Busch Gardens.
It’s a really spacious resort with a ton of amenities, so if you enjoy down time during your vacations, this is a great option rather than a standard hotel or the local historic inns.

Two Bedroom
For our stay, we were in a two bedroom unit.
The resort set up actually just looks like a neighborhood of townhomes.
Our unit was just 1 story on the ground level, but the other ones attached in the same building had to go either up stairs or down stairs to get to the main areas of their units.
Kitchen
When you enter, the first thing you’ll see is the kitchen.
It’s pretty large, but tucked away in the corner.
There is plenty of counter space and it’s a full kitchen with every large and small appliance you need.
If something is missing, you can always call the front desk to have them bring it to you.
When we checked, in our room only had decaf coffee, so JP had them bring some regular coffee too.
Dining Room
In the center of the unit is a large dining room with a large dining table.
It’s made to seat a maximum of 6 people.
We like to use the dining room as work spaces since I work remotely & sometimes JP still has some admin work to do when he’s off.
Living Room
The living room is in the back of the unit and it’s nice and cozy.
It has a fire place for the winter and a tv mounted above it.
Balcony/Patio
Off the living room is the balcony.
Our room backed up to a wooded area where you could see a golf course on the other side of the trees.
The balcony has a table and chairs so you have a good spot to enjoy the fresh air.
All the rooms are pretty uniform, so you can see everyone else’s balconies, so there’s not really any privacy out there.
During our stay, no one else was out on their balcony when we were, so it didn’t feel too intrusive.
Primary Bedroom
The primary bedroom is large and has a king sized bed.
There’s lots of space to sprawl out all your luggage and there’s a decent sized tv.
There are plenty of outlets for charging everything you need within reach of the bed, which has been a problem at a lot of the other resorts we’ve stayed in recently.
Primary Bathroom
This bathroom has one of my favorite features – a jacuzzi!
This one doesn’t have jets, so it’s more hygienic.
There’s a separate shower that had pretty good water pressure too.
The counter space had enough room for 2 people to get ready at the same time, which is also a problem we’ve had with other resorts recently.
Second Bedroom
The second bedroom is on the other side of the unit near the front door.
I love when bedrooms don’t share walls, so it feels like you really do have your own separate spaces.
The second bedroom has a king sized bed too, but we were told one was a queen sized bed.
Second Bathroom
This bathroom is accessible through the 2nd bedroom and through the hallway leading into the bedroom.
This one is much smaller than the primary bathroom, but it’s still a full bathroom.

Amenities
There are a few amenities I want to highlight as some perks to staying at this resort.
In-Unit Laundry
In-unit laundry is pretty hit and miss with timeshare resorts these days.
We stayed at 4 different Hilton Vacation Club resorts on a recent road trip and this was the only one that had in-unit laundry.
We always bring our own detergent and dryer sheets, but they provide the basics if you need it.
Pool
The pool here is pretty large and has plenty of chairs for everybody.
It’s part of the main activities center of the resort where the check in building is and other activities.
Mini Golf
This resort has a mini golf course!
It’s nothing fancy like an actual mini golf course at an entertainment center, but it’s still something to do for fun at the resort.
Overall Experience
We’ve stayed at 2 Hilton Vacation Club resorts in Williamsburg and I think I prefer this over the other one.
The other one is the Historic Powhatan Resort, which is also townhome style, with multi-level rooms.
It had a quirky layout and was cozy, but the rooms and amenities weren’t as updated as Greensprings.
They’re both just down the street from each other and it takes just about the same amount of time to get anywhere from either one, so really both are good.
Honestly my only issue with this resort is that the wifi and my own hotspot are not particularly strong.
It’s decent, but not the best.
Pricing
Most nights, these rooms go for about $150-$250 per night depending on the season and the day of the week.
During peak travel nights I’ve seen rates as high as $350 for just one night.
With the amount of space and with how nice the rooms and resort are, I could definitely justify $250, especially if splitting the cost with others to have a big room.
But most of the time it’s much closer to the $150-$200 price.

Using Timeshare Points For Your Stay
Greensprings is one of the best places to use your timeshare points.
We used 400 points to stay 2 nights in mid-May, which also happened to be graduation weekend for William & Mary College.
We stayed on a Sunday and Monday night.
To put those points in perspective, with what we paid for our timeshare, plus annual maintenance fees, this stay cost us the equivalent of $209 for the total stay or just $104 per night!
Looking at it even further, if we calculate how many free points and gift cards our timeshare has given us over the years, the real cost of the room was actually only $158 for the total stay or just $79 per night!
Conclusion: Greensprings Resort Review
Greensprings Resort is a great place to stay when you’re in the Williamsburg area.
It’s great for larger groups because it’s affordable and the 2 bedrooms can accommodate up to 6 people.
